The Heir, Review

The Heir by Kiera Cass

Plot: We watched Prince Maxon go through his own selection and fall in love with and marry America Singer. It is now twenty years later and their daughter, Princess Eadlyn, is next in line for the throne. To attempt to settle some unrest amongst the people of Ilea, Eadlyn reluctantly agrees to her own Selection. She vows to her parents that she will give it three months, and if she is unable to find a suitor, she will choose to rule on her own.

Follow Eadlyn as she deals with bad press, unsavory characters, and seeing a boy she has known her whole life in a new light.

Would you recommend this book? Yes. I was just as captivated by this selection as I was by her father’s selection years ago. The author does a good job of developing the characters well enough to make you care about what happens to them.
