The Gathering (Quantum Prophecy #2)

The Gathering by Michael Carroll (Quantum Prophecy #2)

Plot: Teens Colin, Danny, and Renata are starting to emerge as the world’s next generation of superheroes. But now their safety is threatened when the world discovers their true identities. A new enemy is rising-will they be ready in time?

Would you recommend this book? No. Much like the first book in this trilogy, the second reuses common powers and tries to carry underdeveloped characters on a dark and flimsy plot. Yet again, I find myself disappointed with the middle book of a trilogy. Plot summary: for 279 pages, nothing happens. Just a whole bunch of exploding, dramatic, action-packed nothings. This book is simply here to tie the first to the last book, but did not serve any real purpose. I hope the last book is better.
